II. Draft Overview of the Business Forum Program:
Overview of the Business Forum
The business forum is one the milestones of achievement sort to be achieved by ARF towards the
fulfillment of its mission statement. This year’s Business forum will be our first. It will focus on
providing a platform for business leaders, policymakers, and investors to discuss economic
opportunities, innovations, and partnerships in Africa, establish at this moment when Africa seeks to
break away from the historic Neo-colonialism which has left the Continent fractured, looted and
poverty stricken is one of the richest continents on Earth.
As per our mission statement: “to facilitating economic development through a progressive trilateral
stage of global partnership.”; this year we will start our mobilization towards a new Unified One
Africa One Love by seeking the partnership first with America. Why America? Unlike the European
Countries America’s legacy towards African Colonialism has been less intense and blatant. While
they have practiced self-interest politics as with other developing nations our past African
Leadership have to share responsibility in the post 2020 failures. However, as we move forward in
harmony with the Sustainable Development Goals 1 to 17, Africa needs to form new partnerships on
their own terms for the future of Africa’s Development.
The Focus Activities of the Forum
1. General Assembly Sessions: Here we will have a large hall capable of gathering all
participants in a general assembly for discussions and special presentations. All business
leaders, policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs who want to be a part of the New Africa
Arising Movement will gather annually to be briefed on activities towards the goals and
objectives of ARF. This session will usually feature a renown Keynote speaker per day
2. Breakout Educational Sessions for discussion: During these sessions three rooms need to be
provided for simultaneous group meetings on topics of specific interest. These sessions will
facilitate panel discussions, workshops, and networking sessions to explore investment
opportunities, share best practices, and foster collaborations. During these breakout
meetings based on the topics of discussion a four-person chair panel will be assigned to
guide the presentations. One person will chair the panel another will be the presenter and
the other two will be support staff serving as rapporteurs. The rapporteur will be responsible
for documenting the findings or key outcomes from all stakeholders at the meeting
regarding the way forward for the development of our One Africa One Love Vision. Later in
the general assembly each team will be provided with a period to report the result of the
team. Via this interactive approach we hope to achieve a common ground understanding of
ARF’s Vision and Mission.
3. Breakout Sessions for Display Halls: During this session we need to organize and partition a
Display Hall or Holding Area where participants can share p2p, B2B as follows: a. to
showcase successful case studies of African economic development and innovation, b. to
provide a platform for matchmaking and deal-making between investors and African
businesses.
